THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LIGHT THAT LOOSE (S Khathi) was stubborn loading. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Leaving the 500m SOUND CHECK (T Gould) brushed the inside running rail. b) LEDELL'S ECHO (S Khumalo) was hanging out in the latter stages. c) The saddle on LIGHT THAT LOOSE (S Khathi) slipped sideways marginally in running. This was confirmed by the veterinary surgeon. d) CLIFF TOP, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised (LM).
