THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	REGINAS ANGEL (Y Ramzan) and HUMBLE TUNE (S Devoy) were slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 
 
a)	Jockey D Ashby reported that he felt something amiss with GLOBAL ASH. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
b)	GLOBAL ASH (D Ashby) returned suffering from a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended, for a period of 60 days, from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1. (Dr K Davis)
c)	Jockey S Khathi was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he misused his crop by striking CHARIOT MASTER more than 12 times in the entire race. Jockey S Khathi signed an admission of guilt and was fined R1500,00. In determining penalty, the Board took into account the distance over and manner in which Jockey S Khathi used his crop and the number of strikes (14) over the permissible level. 
d)	ALINGALONGA, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised (LM).
