THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ICE ANGEL (*R A Venniker) was stubborn to load. b) DYNASTY'S MILER (*G Pieterse) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) MISS DORA (T Gumede) was tightened between FORTUNE BAY (S Moodley) and FORT J'ADORE (C Habib) shortly after the start. b) ICE ANGEL (*R A Venniker) raced wide around the turn. c) LADIES DAY (*M K Katjedi) was hanging out throughout. d) At the 200m, MISS DORA (T Gumede) was baulked for a clear run for a short distance, thereafter was switched to the inside of TASTE MAKER (J Gates) to obtain a clear run. e) Jockey J Gates reported that he felt something amiss with TASTE MAKER in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine f) FORTUNE BAY (S Moodley), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
