THE STARTER REPORTED: a) After being restless in the stalls and kicking the back gates, FIAMETTA jumped very awkwardly, almost dislodging Jockey T Godden, resulting in him briefly losing his right-side stirrup iron. As a result, this mare lost 2 lengths and was thereafter slow into stride. b) SKY CAFE (C Habib) and JOLLIFICATION (C F Dicken) were stubborn to load. c) FRENCH PRINCESS (J Gates) was restless in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) CONGRESS (A Mgudlwa) over-raced in the early and middle stages. b) NONOTI (M Yeni) and FRENCH PRINCESS (J Gates) came together and brushed shortly before the finish. c) PRINCESS JO (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer N Roscoe acting on behalf of Trainer D Kannemeyer advised (NS). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Nil RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil.
