THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) LUCKY MISS (J Gates) was hanging out from the 300m and shifted out between the 250m and 150m. b) ICE SUNSATION (R Khathi) shifted out between the 250m and 200m. c) Jockey K de Melo reported that DEVILS AND DUST took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning IMBEWU, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this filly is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Trainer M L Roberts was advised (Suspension dates :02/01/23 - 02/03/23 bdi) (MB). e) ICE SUNSATION (R Khathi), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer B Forster acting on behalf of Trainer A Nel advised (DZ).
