Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) KING REGENT (G van Niekerk) and ASIYE PHAMBILI (L Mxothwa) reacted and became restless when SCALINI (C Orffer) reared in the stalls. b) NARINA TROGON (G Wright) threw its head down as the start was effected and jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) For a short distance approaching the 1200m ASIYE PHAMBILI (L Mxothwa) raced tight on the inside of SCALINI (C Orffer), which rolled in slightly away from KITCHAKAL (K de Melo). b) KITCHAKAL (K de Melo) took an extended stride approaching the 650m. c) The saddle on ASIYE PHAMBILI (L Mxothwa) slipped back marginally in running. This was confirmed by a Stipendiary Steward. d) In view of the report from the Starter regarding SCALINI (C Orffer) Trainer VH Marshall will be advised to have this colt re-schooled before his next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. e) WITHOUT QUESTION, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer C Snaith, acting on behalf of Trainer SJ Snaith, was advised.
