THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	WESTERN DANCE (*J R Syster) jumped outwards leaving the stalls.	
b)	ON THE WARPATH (*C F Dicken) was slow losing two lengths.	
c)	GOLD GRIFFIN (*P Mxoli) was slow losing one length.		

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	At approximately the 1600m, ON THE WARPATH (*C F Dicken) and CHENOPOD (*S W Njokwe), which commenced to over-race, had to steady to avoid running onto the heels of ATOMIC BLONDE (*M H Zuma).
b)	At approximately the 1400m, CLARKSON (*R A Venniker), ATOMIC BLONDE (*M H Zuma), WESTERN DANCE (*J R Syster) and THE SASH (*D B Geerthsen) made contact with the inside running rail.
c)	Apprentice M K Katjedi (PUCKER UP) rode a satisfactory qualifying ride.
d)	Apprentice S W Njokwe reported that CHENOPOD made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. 
	The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. 	


e)	GO DREAM MACHINE (*K A Brewer), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D Nieuwenhuizen advised (AH).

JOCKEY CHANGES:
a)	GOLD GRIFFIN	 was ridden by Apprentice P Mxoli who claimed a 2,5kg allowance (declared 13 January 	2022 at 07H01).	 Stipes permission as Apprentice S Hlengwa is not qualified to ride around the turn.
