THE STARTER REPORTED:  
a)	AFRICAN DUSK (A Mgudlwa) kicked the back gates, was removed, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and withdrawn. Trainer G B Puller was advised to re-school this gelding (SN).
b)	SHOT OF COURAGE (M Mjoka) stood, losing approximately 10 lengths. 

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a)	Shortly after the start, MISTER LINCOLN (*S Hlengwa) was bumped in by COTTON RON (K Matsunyane) which jumped inwards.
b)	MISTER LINCOLN (*S Hlengwa) raced green.
c)	SHOT OF COURAGE (M Mjoka) was hanging in and shifted in, in the concluding stages.
d)	Jockey A Arries reported that GETTYSBURG took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt.
e)	In view of the Starter's report with regard to SHOT OF COURAGE (M Mjoka), this gelding's starting stall certificate is withdrawn, and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable to jump on terms with a companion.  Suspension dates: 09.01.23 to the 15.01.23 (bdi).  SHOT OF COURAGE may not be presented for re-passing during this period.  Trainer T Pretorius was advised (SN)
