THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CONGO COMPAQ (R Khathi) was stubborn to load. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Jockey J Gates reported that he felt something amiss with FLEET COMMANDER in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. b) In view of the performance of FOREST JUMP (S Moodley) (9.60 lengths, 11/2 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) The Stewards gave permission for the late rider change detailed below as due to load-shedding, the sauna was not available for the riders to sweat and make a lower weight if necessary. Jockey K de Melo was interviewed regarding this matter and the Stewards were comfortably satisfied regarding the circumstances pertaining to this matter. However, they will be requesting Gold Circle to consider linking the sauna to the generator system. d) MASTER OF LAW (*M K Katjedi), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P Lafferty advised (NS). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Jockey J Gates replaced Jockey K de Melo as the rider of FLEET COMMANDER (advised 13h44). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil.
