THE STARTER REPORTED: a) WILLOW LANE (*S Sosibo) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. b) IN THE GAME (*S W Njokwe) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) ROSE WILLOW (*J R Syster) was unruly, refused to proceed to the start and was subsequently scratched. This filly is suspended in terms of Rule 93.2.4 until such time as she proves tractable cantering to the start on a race day. Trainer B Webber was advised (DR). b) LIGHT WARRIOR (*P Mxoli) hung out from the 400m. c) Apprentice K A Brewer reported that GOT YOU (9,10 lengths) choked up in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) Apprentice S Sosibo (WILLOW LANE) rode a satisfactory qualifying ride. e) The saddle on GOLDEN TUNE (*M K Katjedi) slipped back running. This was confirmed by a Stipendiary Steward. f) GOLDEN TUNE (*M K Katjedi), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D Nieuwenhuizen advised (DR).
