Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	SILVER PRINCESS (+S Siphika) was stubborn loading. 
The starting stall certificate for this mare has been withdrawn. Trainer R Klaasen was advised (GT).
b)	NORDIC VIEW (+C Mabaya) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	In view of the Starter's report with regard to SILVER PRINCESS, this mare's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable loading with a companion. 
Suspension dates: 20 January 2023 to 26 January 2023.  SILVER PRINCESS may not be presented for repassing during this period. Trainer R Klaasen was advised.  
b)	At approximately the 1200m, BUSHVELD (+T Matsoele) was checked to avoid running onto the heels of GHOST SHIP (+P Mongqawa), which shifted in. 
Work Rider P Mongqawa was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that he, as the rider of GHOST SHIP, failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to BUSHVELD (+T Matsoele) when he shifted in at approximately the 1200m. Work Rider P Mongqawa signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in one (1) Work Rider race.
Suspension date:  9 February 2023.	
c)	Work Rider T Matsoele was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 in that he used his crop in a manner which was in contravention of the conditions of the Race, by showing BUSHVELD the crop with his hand off the rein on three occasions. Work Rider T Matsoele signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in one (1) Work Rider race. 
Suspension date:  9 February 2023.	
d)	Work Rider D Botha reported that he felt something amiss with VARSAVIA in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. 	
e)	BUSHVELD (+T Matsoele), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
