THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	QUICK BREEZE (*M K Katjedi) was slow into stride.	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	Approaching the 400m, UMTHOMBO WOLWAZI (M van Rensburg) was steadied momentarily and directed outwards when awkwardly placed on the outside of TRE AMICI (M Yeni) and on the heels of MOVER AND SHAKER (S Khumalo).
b)	Shortly before the finish line, SET TO GO (J P van der Merwe), which hung in from the 150m, had to switch out to avoid running onto the heels of MOVER AND SHAKER (S Khumalo), which shifted in away from the crop.	
c)	Jockey M Yeni reported that TRE AMICI did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. 	
Trainer R R Sage was requested to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of TRE AMICI on return to stables.	
An inquiry will be held into Jockey M Yeni's riding in the concluding stages of this race.
d)	MOVER AND SHAKER (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
