THE STARTER REPORTED: a) During the loading process, STORMY SEAS (D Schwarz) kicked the back gate resulting in SIBERIAN STEEL (K de Melo) becoming restless and breaking through the front gates. Trainer R R Magner was advised to reschool STORMY SEAS prior to his next engagement (GT). b) COVERT OPERATOR (G Lerena) was stubborn loading. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, PHINDA MZALA (J R Syster) and PENDRAGON (R Munger) came together and brushed. b) An inquiry will be opened into Jockey G Lerena's (COVERT OPERATOR) crop use during the running of this race. c) COVERT OPERATOR (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
