THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	Fair start.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	After being dislodged in Race 2 Jockey Y Ramzan was examined by the course medical officer and cleared fit to ride. 
b)	OSCEOLA (Y Ramzan) raced wide without cover in the early stages and was allowed to improve to the front of the field from the1400m.
c)	IRISH RAIN (E Webber) proved difficult to settle in the early stages.
d)	At the 350m a tiring OSCEOLA (Y Ramzan) rolled out and brushed MY BOY REECEY (M Mjoka).
e)	Jockey R Fourie, the rider of BLONDE ACT, appeared before the Board and was advised that his riding in the concluding stages had come under the notice of the Stewards and although they were mindful that he had won the race, he was reminded of his obligation to ride with sufficient vigour and determination to the finish line. He was further advised that it was the opinion of the Stewards that the winning margin at the finish line flattered the rest of the field.
f)	Jockey D de Gouveia was charged with a contravention of Rule 55.4 in that he failed to weigh out at the carded weight on HUMBLE TUNE (Race 4) and ROYAL SHINDIG (Race 8), resulting in a change of rider. Jockey D de Gouveia signed an admission of guilt and was fined R1500.00.
g)	BLONDE ACT, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer A Mtengwana, acting on behalf of Trainer AC Greeff, was advised. (LM)
