THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SHARAPOVA (K de Melo) jumped outwards. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start SENHORA VICTORIA (O Noach) had to be steadied when awkwardly placed between GOLD FOR AFRICA (A Arries) and CLOUD CHASER (J Solomons), which was carried outwards by SHARAPOVA (K de Melo), which jumped outwards. b) HANG OUT THE STARS (A Domeyer) raced green on the bend. c) MISS NEW YORK (JP van der Merwe) raced wide without cover on the bend and into the straight and as a consequence, proved difficult to settle. d) SPRING KISS (G van Niekerk) was hanging out in the latter stages. e) SENHORA VICTORIA, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
