THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FABULOUS (*R Venniker) lost one length. b) ARCTIC PRINCESS (A Mgudlwa) was stubborn to load. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) TWO MINDS (*S Hlengwa) commenced to over-race in the early and middle stages. b) At approximately the 250m, FABULOUS (*R Venniker) which was hanging out and FEELING GROOVY (A Arries) which shifted in, came together and brushed. Thereafter, at the 100m, Jockey A Arries crop was accidentally struck from his hand by Apprentice R Venniker (FABULOUS) c) In view of the performance of ARCTIC PRINCESS (A Mgudlwa), (13.25 lengths, betting 20/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) FORGED IN ICE (*M Katjedi), unplaced, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M Roberts advised (DZ). e) DANSE MILORD (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M Odendaal advised (DZ).
