THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start for all runners. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) At the 150m, BIRDWATCHER (*M Katjedi) shifted in off the heels of HATTA (*R Venniker), which rolled in. As a result SHAKEN NOT STIRRED (J Gates) and QUANABI (K de Melo) were carried in by BIRDWATCHER (*M Katjedi). b) At the 150m, IDEAL GIFT (*S Hlengwa) had to be steadied momentarily off the heels of MEREDITH GREY (T Godden) to obtain a clear run. c) Jockey R Khathi (ROSE PRINCESS) accidentally dropped his crop at the 50m. d) Jockey A Mgudlwa reported that he felt something amiss with GIMME A LULLABY in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) BIRDWATCHER (*M Katjedi), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D Howells advised (NS).
