THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MONTMERENCY (M Yeni) was slow losing two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) ABSOLUTE VALUE (*S Sosibo) took an awkward stride at approximately the 1300m. b) At approximately the 500m, GLOBAL APPROACH (K Matsunyane) had to steady when awkwardly placed between ABSOLUTE VALUE (*S Sosibo) and LUTHULI (*D B Geerthsen), which was carried in marginally by ADMIRALTY ARCH (P Strydom), which rolled in. c) At approximately the 300m, CALL ME THE BREEZE (*K A Brewer), which commenced to hang in, was steadied and directed outwards to avoid the heels of ABSOLUTE VALUE (*S Sosibo), which had come to the end of its run. d) TIMEFORTHAT (J P van der Merwe), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
