THE STARTER REPORTED: a) POSITIVE ATTITUDE (M van Rensburg) was stubborn loading. The starting stall certificate for this colt has been withdrawn. Trainer W H Marwing was advised (PHvdW). b) MASTER OF COIN (G Lerena) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. c) MONTMERENCY (C Habib) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. d) DAWN MISSION (K Matsunyane) was slow losing two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) POSITIVE ATTITUDE (M van Rensburg) over-raced in the early stages. b) At approximately the 700m, MASTER OF COIN (G Lerena), which rolled out, and GIMME ROYALTY (D Schwarz), which rolled in, came together and brushed. c) In view of the Starter's report with regard to POSITIVE ATTITUDE, this colt's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading with a companion. Suspension dates: 16 January 2022 to 22 January 2022. POSITIVE ATTITUDE may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer W H Marwing was advised. d) WITH PLEASURE (R Munger), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D Sham advised (RS). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) DAWN MISSION is a gelding (gelded 15 November 2021) incorrectly carded. b) FORWARD SPELL raced with a cornell collar (declared 10 January 2022). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) MASTER OF COIN abnormal respiratory noise. b) EARL OF CARDIGAN blowing post race. c) MONTMERENCY scalp wound left hind. d) DAWN MISSION blowing post race.
