THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CHERINGOMA (K Matsunyane) was slow losing two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 800m, APACHE FIGHTER, which rolled out, was corrected and encouraged forward by Jockey M Yeni. b) ANGEL'S WISH (Wes Marwing) hung in from the 300m. c) Jockey C Habib reported that HIGH BORN LADY choked up in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. d) Jockey J P van der Merwe reported that he felt something amiss with READY TO FLY in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) APACHE FIGHTER (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee J Dhlamini, acting on behalf of Trainer R R Magner, was advised (LK). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) GO FLICHITY: Jockey R Danielson weighed out at 57kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight.
