THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MISTER LINCOLN (*S Hlengwa) lost two lengths. b) ZAPOTEC (J Gates) was stubborn to load. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start, LAW COURT (K Matsunyane) and ZAPOTEC (J Gates) were bumped out by CORSICAN (A Mgudlwa), which jumped outwards. b) WHIZ BANG (B Jacobson) over-raced in the early and middle stages proving difficult to assist. Thereafter, this colt raced wide around the turn and into the straight. c) LAW COURT (K Matsunyane) was hanging in from the 200m. d) At the 250m, BELLO GROSSO (S Veale) was brushed inwards by DUKE OF AFRICA (M Yeni), which shifted in away from the crop and straightened. e) LET EM GO (D Schwarz) was hanging in from the 300m. f) In view of the performance of MISTER LINCOLN (*S Hlengwa) (6.95 lengths, betting 9/2), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. g) CORSICAN (A Mgudlwa), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
