Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PRINCESS LOUISA (W Agrella) was stubborn loading. b) REGGIES GIRL (S Khumalo) and JUST FOREVER (C Maujean) were nervous in the stalls. c) PERONZADA (K Minnie) was nervous and kicked the back gates in the stalls. d) THE LITTLE GIRL (JP van der Merwe) was nervous in the stalls and jumped slow, losing one length. e) CELTIC VIXEN (E Webber) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) After leaving the parade ring correctly shod, PERONZADA (K Minnie) cast its left front shoe on the way to the start which had to be replaced. b) PERONZADA (K Minnie) raced awkwardly with its head up while attempting to get cover in the early stages. c) Leaving the 100mm POMODORO MAGIC (L Mxothwa), which raced green, ducked out sharply and had to be straightened. d) Jockey R Fourie reported that he felt something amiss with AFRODITE. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) Jockey W Agrella reported that PRINCESS LOUISA did not stride out freely in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. f) POMODORO MAGIC, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer DA McKenzie was advised.
