THE STARTER REPORTED: a) WILLIAMS PRINCESS (*R A Venniker), NABIAS (*M K Katjedi) and ROYAL OASIS (K de Melo) were stubborn to load. b) WHAT A PIDDY (A Mgudlwa) was stubborn to load and had to be re-saddled after the saddle had shifted during the loading process. c) PRETTY ANALIA (R Fouire) reared in the stalls. d) WILLIAM PRINCESS (*R A Venniker) was slow into stride. e) PAINTED EARTH (D Schwarz) and BLANTYRE (S Veale) lost 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start, WILLIAMS PRINCESS (*R A Venniker) was bumped in by PRETTY ANALIA (R Fourie) which jumped inwards. b) DAPPERFONTEIN (C F Dicken) shifted both ways away from the crop from the 400m. c) Apprentice M K Katjedi reported that NABIAS changed stride in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Apprentice K J Lihaba (SILKEN LACE) completed a satisfactory qualifying ride. e) ROYAL OASIS (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
