THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) INCECENT PROPOSAL (C Zackey) which over-raced, raced clear and in advance of the field, tired rapidly from the 400m and was not persevered with in the concluding stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Trainer G van Zyl (Jnr) was asked to report back on the condition of INDECENT PROPOSAL on return to stables. b) WHISPERS OF WAR (AUS) (*J Botes) commenced to hang out upon entering the straight. c) ROWINS DREAN (R A Venniker) commenced to give ground to the field from the 300m. d) BEACH PALACE (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
