THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Apprentice M Katjedi (SEXY SHIRAZ) completed a satisfactory qualifying ride. b) At the 1700m, BEAU VALLON (K Sakayi) and AMBLE INN (S Brown) had to ease when awkwardly placed on the heels of RED HOT CHILI GIRL (A Arries) which failed to negotiate the first turn and raced awkwardly into the back straight. As a consequence of this incident, GREY LINNGARI (W Kennedy) became awkwardly placed on the heels of AMBLE INN (S Brown) and raced wide in the back straight. c) In the concluding stages, MADIBA'S CUPPA (S Khumalo) was bumped out by SIEGE OF ORLEANS (*R Venniker) which shifted out away from the crop. d) SIEGE OF ORLEANS (*R Venniker), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D Campbell advised (NS). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) SEXY SHIRAZ was ridden by Apprentice M Katjedi (claiming 4kg) (advised 15.01.22/8h38). b) DJANGO raced equipped with blinkers (advised 13.01.22/8h54).
