Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CAPTAIN CORRUPT (R Khathi) was restless in the stalls and lost one length. Trainer A Nel was advised to re-school this colt. (BN) b) DU CANE (T Godden) lost one length. c) HUNTERS ARROW (S Moodley) stood, losing many lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) CAPTAIN CORRUPT (R Khathi) was restless in the starting stalls, kicked the back gates, was removed and examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and was reloaded. b) At the 1200m, FLAMING DRUM (K de Melo) had to steady when awkwardly placed on the heels of MOON HARVEST (M Yeni). c) At approximately the 200m, CAPTAIN CORRUPT (R Khathi), which had shifted out away from the crop reacted when in close proximity to MOON HARVEST (M Yeni), which rolled inwards. d) In view of the Starter's report with regard to HUNTERS ARROW (S Moodley), this gelding's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 14.02.2023 to 19.02.2023. HUNTERS ARROW may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer D Campbell was advised. (BN) e) L'ULTIMO (S Veale), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer S Ferrie acting on behalf of Trainer D Drier was advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) ZABADAK : The ownership should read :- Mr P & Mrs A Ramsagar and the colours are Yellow, red diamond, checked sleeves and cap.
