THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	BEYONDTHEBOUNDARY (JP van der Merwe) jumped awkwardly and thereafter was slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	THE FUTURIST (L Mxothwa) refused to settle in the early and middle stages and tired quickly in the straight. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
b)	Leaving the 300m INNAMORARE (R Fourie) changed stride, commenced to hang out and proved difficult to straighten. As a consequence, SUDDEN SONG (K Steyn) and FAIRE ADVANTAGE (G van Niekerk) were carried outwards by INNAMORARE (R Fourie). In view of this report, the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine INNAMORARE (R Fourie)
c)	After being carried out at the 300m, FAIRE ADVANTAGE (G van Niekerk) tired quickly in the concluding stages. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
d)	Leaving the 100m INNAMORARE (R Fourie) which continued to hang out, was brushed inwards by SUDDEN SONG (K Steyn), which rolled in and had to be straightened.
e)	Jockey G van Niekerk was charged with a contravention of Rule 55.4 in that he failed to weigh out at the carded weight on FAIRE ADVANTAGE. Jockey G van Niekerk signed an admission of guilt and was fined R1000.00.
f)	NIGHT RULER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SJ Snaith was advised. (CvA)
