THE STARTER REPORTED: a) RAINING RUBIES (Wes Marwing) was slow losing one length. b) SOUTHERN STYLE (J Mariba) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 800m, RAINING RUBIES (Wes Marwing), which proved difficult negotiating the turn, was steadied in anticipation of running onto the heels of SILK GARDEN (*P Mxoli). b) SILK GARDEN (*P Mxoli), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer S Paterson, acting on behalf of Trainer B H Stidolph, was advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) PRIMROSE PATH was ridden by Jockey N Klink (declared 21 February 2023 at 07H35). b) SOUTHERN STYLE was ridden by Jockey J Mariba (declared 21 February 2023 at 07H43). c) SILVER PRINCESS was ridden by Jockey G Pieterse (declared 21 February 2023 at 07H43).
