Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	SILVER HILLS (G Lerena) jumped inwards sharply leaving the stalls.	
b)	ARIVIDICIO (D De Gouveia) was slow into stride.	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	Shortly after the start, LAGUNA VERDE (D Schwarz), JOHNNY DOGS (J P van der Merwe) and BOWL FIRST (C Maujean) were awkwardly placed between MERIDIUS (R Munger), which jumped outwards leaving the stalls, and SILVER HILLS (G Lerena), which jumped inwards sharply leaving the stalls. 
b)	At approximately the 350m, BILLY SPELLBOUND (K Matsunyane) and BACK TO THE FUTURE (*P Mxoli) were carried in by BOWL FIRST (C Maujean), which rolled in and was corrected. This resulted in BACK TO THE FUTURE (*P Mxoli) having to steady to avoid the heels of JOHNNY DOGS (J P van der Merwe), which was brushed out by ARIVIDICIO (D De Gouveia), which rolled out. 
c)	Jockey J P van der Merwe reported that he felt something amiss with JOHNNY DOGS in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. 		 
d)	LAGUNA VERDE (D Schwarz), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.	Trainer M N Houdalakis advised (MS).
