THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) In view of the performance of ANIARA (D Schwarz), (distance 15,00 lengths, betting 5/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. b) In view of the performance of SMITH AND WESSON (G Pieterse), (distance 7,75 lengths, betting 9/4), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning BRONCO BLITZ, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this gelding is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Trainer F Bronkhorst was advised. d) MOVER AND SHAKER (*S Sosibo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer F P Habib advised (MS).
