Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) POTENTE (R Fourie) jumped outwards. b) FLINDERS RANGE (*P Mxoli) and TARTAN DANCER (C Maujean) jumped slow, losing one length. c) TUK TUK (JP van der Merwe) jumped slow, losing two lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. d) CHERRY ANO (K de Melo) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The start of this race was delayed due to the thirty-minute interval between races 7 and 8. b) Leaving the 1200m FLINDERS RANGE (*P Mxoli), which initially lacked early speed, had to be steadied away from the heels of MY AMI BEACH (W Agrella) which shifted in. Jockey W Agrella appeared before the Board and was advised that he needs to exercise more care in similar circumstances. c) Leaving the 100m TUK TUK (JP van der Merwe) was awkwardly placed on the inside of MY AMI BEACH (W Agrella), which was hanging in in the latter stages. d) CHERRY ANO, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer FJ Jacobs, acting on behalf of Trainer GD Smith, was advised.
