THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MUCHO DINERO (G van Niekerk) and ROCKPOOL (R Fourie) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) After leaving the parade ring correctly shod, TRIPLE TIME (S Veale) cast its left front shoe on the way to the start which had to be replaced, causing a delay. b) CHARLES DICKENS (A Domeyer) was hanging out, shifted out gradually in the straight and then shifted in away from the crop in the latter stages. c) SEE IT AGAIN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M Roberts was advised. (TJ) d) CHARLES DICKENS, the second-placed horse, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer M Arnold, acting on behalf of Trainer C Bass-Robinson, was advised.
