THE STARTER REPORTED: a) OVATION (T Gumede) kicked the back gates, was removed, the course farrier attended to the right hind shoe, and was re-loaded. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) At the 100m TRIBUTE TO YOU (*S Hlengwa) had to be steadied momentarily when awkwardly placed on the heels of NORTHERN WARRIOR (*R A Venniker) which was hanging out from the 300m and shifted out. b) Jockey N Patel reported that he felt something amiss with RED MAGICIAN in the running.
