THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SILVER TUDOR (*S Sosibo) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) JITTERBUGGER (R Munger) and MAMBO COME TESIO (J Penny) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. c) KILBRANNAN SOUND (M Khan) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) As the start was effected, KILBRANNAN SOUND (M Khan), was bumped out by JITTERBUGGER (R Munger), which jumped outwards leaving the stalls. b) Shortly after the start, MAMBO COME TESIO (J Penny) and SILVER TUDOR (*S Sosibo) came together and bumped. c) CHICAGO LASS (G Pieterse) over-raced in the early and middle stages, and thereafter tired badly from the 200m. d) GIMME A DIAMOND (P Strydom) was directed inwards between the 400m and the 200m. e) Jockey M Khan reported that KILBRANNAN SOUND made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. f) SHARAPOVA (K Matsunyane), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
