THE STARTER REPORTED: a) JAQUAR CAT (*RA Venniker) was stubborn loading and jumped slow, losing two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) In the concluding stages, CALLMEMRGREENLIGHT (*S Sosibo) was carried out marginally by BONNAROO (R Fourie), which shifted out away from the crop and was immediately straightened. b) Jockey R Fourie reported that BONNAROO made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) Jockey D Ashby reported that SEISMIC EVENT did not stride out freely in running and he did not persevere with his riding from the 250m. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) In view of the performance of ISN'T IT BLISS (C Maujean) the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this mare. e) GREAT MELODY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer GD Smith was advised.
