THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SANDRINGHAM SUMMIT (G Lerena) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) PRINCEOFGREEN (*R A Venniker) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. c) GREAT BARRIER (*M K Katjedi) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. d) LUCKY LAD (R Fourie) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, PRINCEOFGREEN (*R A Venniker) became unbalanced and had it hindquarters turned in when bumped by ZOOMBOMBER (M van Rensburg), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) GREAT BARRIER (*M K Katjedi) raced green. c) MICKE'S BOMB (C Zackey) and SANDRINGHAM SUMMIT (G Lerena) hung in from the 200m. d) The saddle on SANDRINGHAM SUMMIT (G Lerena) slipped back in running. This was confirmed by an Official. e) Jockey K de Melo reported that he felt something amiss with BUTTERNUTENROOIWYN in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. f) LUCKY LAD (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S G Tarry advised (MS).
