Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	TOTAL PROTECTION (R Munger) refused to jump. The starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn.      
b)	ROYAL VICTORY (S Khumalo), ANFIELDS ROCKET (R Danielson) and LE MORNE (L Mxothwa)	were slow into stride.	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	MONEY HEIST (P Strydom) over-raced in the early stages.
b)	Approaching the 1400m, EYE OF THE PROPHET (*R A Venniker) was steadied momentarily to avoid LE MORNE (L Mxothwa), which had broken down and was eased out of the race. 
c)	CAPTAINOFTHEGREEN (A Mgudlwa) commenced to give ground to the field from the 400m.
d)	Jockey K de Melo reported that EAST COAST made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. 	
e)	In view of the Starter's report with regard to TOTAL PROTECTION, this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading and jumping on terms with a companion on a Raceday. 
Suspension dates: 5 March 2023 to 11 March 2023.  TOTAL PROTECTION may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer A B Fortune was advised.  	
f)	ANFIELDS ROCKET (R Danielson), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G J Maroun advised (LK).
g)	JIMMY DON (G Lerena)	, placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. 
Trainer E Verdonese advised (LK).
h)	BILLY BOWLEGS (D Schwarz), placed third, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A G Laird advised (DR).
