THE STARTER REPORTED: a) JOLIFICATION (K de Melo) was restless in the stalls, removed, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded. Lost 1 length. b) EXPRESSIVITY (C F Dicken) lost 1 length. c) BLANTYRE (S Veale) lost 3 lengths. Assistant Trainer S Ferrie acting on behalf of Trainer D Drier was advised to re-school this filly (DA). THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) DYNASTYS MILER (R Khathi) over-raced in the early stages proving difficult to assist. b) LADY IS A CHAMP (J Gates) was hanging out around the turn and thereafter hung in, in the straight. c) MANIC MONDAY (*S Hlengwa) was hanging in from the 300m. d) EXPRESSIVITY (C F Dicken) was hanging in and shifted in from the 300m. e) At the 50m, JOLIFICATION (K de Melo) was brushed in by KITTYBOYS GIRL (*R A Venniker) which rolled in. f) In view of the performance of APPROACHABLE LASS (S Moodley) (12.25 lengths, 18/10 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. g) GRANDI ORECCHIE (A Mgudlwa), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
