THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GO LIKE FLO (S Veale) was reluctant to load. b) HUMMINGBIRD (C Orffer) jumped slow, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. c) LOOK FORWARD (A Arries) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) LOOK FORWARD (A Arries) proved difficult to settle in the early stages. b) MISTY CLIFFS (K de Melo) was held up for a clear run between the 500m and 350m. c) In view of the performance of HUMMINGBIRD (C Orffer), which trailed the field throughout, the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) In view of the report from the Starter regarding GO LIKE FLO (S Veale), Trainer WA Nel will be advised to have this filly re-schooled before her next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. e) MARY LAMB, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
