THE STARTER REPORTED: a) RARATONGA ROSE (K de Melo) and BACK TO THE FUTURE (*R A Venniker) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Leaving the 400m, IPSO FACTO (R Munger), which was directed outwards to continue its run, was brushed by HIGH ROLLER (C Zackey), which rolled in. b) RED MAPLE (R Fourie) hung in from the 500m, c) Jockey G Lerena reported that PRINCESS OZMA did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) IPSO FACTO (R Munger), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer K Mayhew advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) HIGH ROLLER raced without a compression mask (declared 8 March 2023 at 04H36).
