THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SAFE SPACE (A Arries) was stubborn to load. b) ROY'S LICORICE (*M K Katjedi) lost 2 lengths. c) SPORTY ROY (T Gumede) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) POWER STAR (*R A Venniker) was hanging out from the 250m. b) In the concluding stages, MAJESTIC REIGN (T Godden) and in turn FLAMING DRUM (K de Melo) were carried in by GOLDEN PEACE (A Mgudlwa) which was hanging in from the 300m, and rolled in. c) Stable employee Ms S Totman acting on behalf of Trainer K Naidoo signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 8.3.1, in that she failed to ensure that the owner's colours were available for the horses ROY'S LICORICE (*M K Katjedi) and SPORTY ROY (T Gumede). Accordingly, a penalty of a warning was imposed. d) GOLDEN PEACE (A Mgudlwa), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G van Zyl (Jnr) advised (BB).
