THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Jockey S Kumalo reported that TRAFALGAR SQUARE took an awkward stride at approximately the 800m. In view of this report the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. b) Jockey R Khathi (TRADE WAR) , when attempting to change crop hands, got his crop entangled in his reins at approximately the 150m. Thereafter, this gelding was hanging in, in the concluding stages. c) CAVALIERI (M V'Rensburg), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M J Odendaal advised (DZ).
