THE STARTER REPORTED: a) IRON SKY (D De Gouveia), GREEN DYNAMITE (Wes Marwing) and VIVA DE JANEIRO (K de Melo) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) GREEN DYNAMITE (Wes Marwing) proved difficult to settle on debut. b) FULLIAUTOMATIX (J P van der Merwe) raced with an awkward head carriage throughout. c) At approximately the 300m, FLYING BROOMSTICK (R Fourie), which raced green, was directed inwards off the heels of FULLIAUTOMATIX (J P van der Merwe), which rolled out and was immediately straightened. d) NETTLETON (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer J J van Vuuren advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) FLYING BROOMSTICK was ridden by Jockey R Fourie (declared 18 March 2023 at 07H37).
