a)	NATIONAL STAR (*S Sosibo) was slow losing two lengths.
b)	YOUNG JACKIE (M Thackeray) was slow losing three lengths. Trainer P P Vermeulen was advised to reschool this filly prior to her next engagement (GT).		

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	Leaving the 1200m, LUNAR BALLADE (J P van der Merwe) was carried out by ESCAPE ARTIST (*D B Geerthsen), which commenced to over-race. 
b)	Apprentice P Mxoli (RUN FOR ISLA) did not persevere with his riding in the concluding stages. Thereafter, Apprentice P Mxoli reported that he felt something amiss with RUN FOR ISLA in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. 		
c)	ESCAPE ARTIST (*D B Geerthsen), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S G Tarry advised (MduP).

a)	WINTER MUSE	 was ridden by Jockey P Strydom (declared 18 March 2023 at 07H43).
