THE STARTER REPORTED: a) IMPERIAL MASTER (*P Mxoli) was slow losing one length. b) ARLINGTON ACTION (D Schwarz) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) WHITE FANG (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A Azzie advised (MduP). When questioned regarding WHITE FANG'S poor performance on the 22nd February 2023, Trainer A Azzie explained to the Board that on this occasion he had raced fitted with blinkers, which resulted in him over-racing and tiring badly. He further added, that in his opinion, this gelding was better suited to racing on the inside track. Trainer Azzie's explanation was noted by the Board. Furthermore, he has undertaken to race WHITE FANG without blinkers, in future. JOCKEY CHANGES: a) WHITE FANG was ridden by Jockey K de Melo (declared 21 March 2023 at 13H42).
