THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) At the 600m DONQUERARI (J Gates) which was hanging in, was carried in by BEECHAMWOOD BOY (K de Melo) which shifted in off the heels of DANDOLO (*S Hlengwa), which rolled out. Thereafter DONQUERARI (J Gates) continued to hang in. b) DANDOLO (*S Hlengwa) was hanging in from the 300m. c) In view of the performance of SUPER SILVER (S Moodley) (9.80 lengths, 40/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) BEECHAMWOOD BOY (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
