THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	WESTERN WISHES (G Pieterse) was slow losing two lengths.
b)	AXEL COLLINS (D Schwarz) was slow into stride.	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	FOG BANK (R Danielson) proved reluctant to canter to the start. Trainer S J Gray will be advised that should this gelding behave in a similar manner in future, it may be suspended.
b)	SAMOA (G Lerena) was baulked for a clear run from the 400m to the 200m.
c)	Approaching the 400m, DANCING DORA (K Matsunyane) was steadied and directed inwards to avoid the heels of VAR PARK (M Khan), which rolled out
d)	Approaching the 200m, AXEL COLLINS (D Schwarz) was directed inwards to avoid the heels of TRE AMICI (S Khumalo), which shifted out away from the crop. This movement resulted in AXEL COLLINS (D Schwarz) being awkwardly placed on the outside of SMITH AND WESSON (M van Rensburg), which shifted out marginally away from the crop. 
e)	SMITH AND WESSON (M van Rensburg), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis (MduP).
