THE STARTER REPORTED: a) RULE BOOK (+G Dadamasi) jumped outwards and APACHE GOLD (+P Mongqawa) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Workrider J Gwingwizha reported that BROADWAY made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. b) Workrider P Mongqawa reported that APACHE GOLD did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) Workrider J Gwingwizha was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline N), and contravening the conditions of the Race, in that he misused his crop by striking BROADWAY on the head when his crop hand was detached from the reins. Workrider Gwingwizha signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in eight Workrider races. Dates of Suspension: 10 February, 22 February, 24 February, 27 February, 1 March, 10 March, 24 March and 31 March 2022. d) Workrider T Matsoele was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, in that he used his crop in a manner which was in contravention of the conditions of the Race, by striking ROYAL TIGER with his crop on one occasion when his crop hand was off of the reins. Workrider Matsoele signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in one Workrider race. Date of Suspension: 10 February 2022. e) Workrider P Jevu was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, in that he used his crop in a manner which was in contravention of the conditions of the Race, by striking ROYAL SEIGE on six occasions with his crop, when his crop hand was off of the reins. Workrider Jevu signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in three Workrider races. Dates of Suspension: 10 February, 22 February and 24 February 2022. f) Workrider G Dadamasi was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, in that he used his crop in a manner which was in contravention of the conditions of the Race, by showing RULE BOOK the crop when his hand was off of the reins. Workrider Dadamasi signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in one Workrider race. Date of Suspension: 10 February 2022. g) RULE BOOK (+G Dadamasi), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B Mngeni advised (LN). WORKRIDER CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) RULE BOOK raced with a cornell collar (declared 5 November 2021). b) VICEROY raced equipped with blinkers (declared 20 January 2022 at 06H29). c) APACHE GOLD raced without blinkers (declared 20 January 2022 at 08H00). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) BROADWAY fatigued. b) FORT ALADO abnormal respiratory noise. c) VICEROY blowing and unilateral nasal discharge. d) APACHE GOLD abnormal respiratory noise.
