THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ELUSIVE JEWEL (T Gould) was stubborn loading. b) GLITTERING BOOTS (JP van der Merwe) jumped awkwardly. c) SASSY (S Khathi) and DREAM STAR (L Mxothwa) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) TEXAS TORNADO (C Maujean) and ROYAL VENUS (R Munger) bumped shortly after the start. b) GLITTERING BOOTS (JP van der Merwe) over raced in the early and middle stages. c) DREAM STAR (L Mxothwa) shifted both ways away from the crop in the straight. d) In view of the performance of MINSTREL GALLERY (Betting 33/10; Distance 11.10 lengths) the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) TEARDROP, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
