Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) RIMAAH (T Gould) and CARBONADO (L Mxothwa) were stubborn loading. b) DAME OF FLAMES (S Khumalo) was nervous in the stalls and jumped with its head up. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At the 50m HEARTSEASE (JP van der Merwe) had to be steadied and was continually held up for a clear run until the finish when awkwardly placed between LADY MISTICO (R Fourie) and PAM'S PRINCESS (C Maujean), both of which shifted ground marginally. b) Jockey S Khumalo reported that DAME OF FLAMES, which over raced in the early stages, made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) ANCESTRAL PRAYER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised.
